Magento 2.4.6 release
PHP Support: Introduced support for PHP 8.2 while maintaining full support for PHP 8.1. Removed support for PHP 7.4, making it incompatible with this release.
Security Enhancements: Included eight security fixes and improvements to platform security.
Component Support and Upgrades:
- Composer 2.2.x is now supported, with Composer 1.x removed.
- Redis 7.0.x support added, with a recommendation for deployment over Redis 6.2.
- OpenSearch is now the default search engine, supporting OpenSearch v2.x and tested with OpenSearch 2.5. Compatibility with OpenSearch 1.x remains.
- Elasticsearch 8.x is supported.
DHL Schema Upgrade: Migrated from v6.2 to v10.0.
JavaScript and Dependency Updates: Outdated JavaScript libraries updated to their latest versions, and outdated dependencies removed. These changes are backward compatible.
Symfony Dependencies: Upgraded to the new Long-Term Support (LTS) version, including updates to

Accessibility Improvements: Focused on enhancing the storefront experience on Venia (PWA), including updates to button labels and improved support for keyboard-only navigation.
Adobe IMS Integration: Decoupled certain Adobe IMS modules (

) from the core code and packaged them as a separateadobe-ims-metapackage
v2.2.0.GraphQL Performance Enhancements: Improved response times for category queries with permissions enabled, optimized GraphQL resolver operations, and optimized product permission processing. Additionally, optimized the performance of category tree rendering and reduced response times for bulk cart operations queries.
Magento 2.4.4 release
- Upgrading PHP to 8.1 version
- The JQuery library has been updated to version 3.6. Several other JavaScript libraries have been updated to the latest versions.
- Magento 2.4.4 support Elasticsearch 7.16 and OpenSearch 1.2, but for deployments hosted in the cloud now the default will be to use OpenSearch 1.2. Stores hosted on-premises can use either solution.
